July Music

I love finding great new music. I have a long list of artists to check out and will give my feedback as soon as I finish browsing.

Paloma Faith:

Upbeat yet chill music with a vintage vibe.
Songs: New York and Stone Cold Sober.

Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba

Hailing from Mali this is fantastic African music. Winner of the BBC 3 Music Awards. On his Myspace he classifies himself as Blues/Afro-Beat/Acoustic. Whatever it is, it's great.

Seasick Steve

Country/folk/blues singer and 3-string guitar player. Chill stuff, but not really my thing.

Baaba Maal

Watch the above youtube link - Senegal's answer to Vanilla Ice haha! Music - take it or leave it.

Florence and the Machine

Soft voice, folky tunes. Pleasant but not particularly memorable.

Friendly Fires

Hipster-boy-band (i.e. high-pitched at sometimes monotonous voices). A bit too pop-y for my taste. Some songs are better than others (aka Skeleton Keys > In My Pool).

Karkwa

Christoph Mae

Soha

Katie Noonan and the Captains

Kate Nash

Morning Benders
